Also known as National Radio Astronom Observatory (NRAO), it is the largest radio astronomy observatory in the US and one of the largest in the world.
Founded in 1957 at Green Bank, in West Virginia, it has a large antenna of 91 meters in diameter and several smaller antennas, some of which form Interferometers.
In this radio astronomy center, important discoveries have been made about the presence of interstellar molecules in space and studies related to the structure of our galaxy, as well as external galaxies.
